Little History about Northumbria
Originally termed as Newcastle Polytechnic, Northumbria University was formed in 1969 with the merger of three local institutes named Rutherford College of Technology, the Municipal College of Commerce, and the College of Art & Industrial Design. Got the university status in 1992.
