De Montfort University, popularly known as DMU, is a public university in the city of Leicester, England. Originally founded as the Leicester School of Art in 1870, the university has evolved through many incarnations including the Leicester Colleges of Art and Technology and Leicester Polytechnic. The university adapted according to the changing times and kept on adding new subjects, such as engineering, building, and machine drawing.

The university campus comprises numerous buildings, including Campus Centre Building, Kimberlin Library, Queen's Building which houses the faculty of technology, Hawthorn Building which includes DMU Heritage Centre and Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. There are also other buildings like the Trinity House which comprises the Vice-Chancellor's office, Chantry Building, Great Hall of Leicester Castle which comprises business school and Gateway House. Additionally, the campus houses Hugh Aston Building which has the faculty of business and law, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee

Centre, The Venue which comprises a skating rink, movie hall, and Vijay Patel Building which comprises arts, design and humanities school.

This university has specialized faculties for all types of streams such as the Faculty of Art, Design and Humanities, Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Media.

M.Sc in Cyber Course Description

The program encourages students who are interested in a challenging and worthwhile career in a rapidly expanding and vitally important area of computing
The program covers four broad topic areas: programming, operating systems, encryption and networks, It also Introduces the conceptual framework of hardware and software layers within a computer and common vulnerabilities and threats
Students are taught about the core electronic and communication engineering concepts and devices that constitute the physical part of the cyber domain
Provides with the knowledge and insight to what hackers may do, how to probe systems for exploitable vulnerabilities and how to react appropriately when an incident occurs

In this course students will focus on programming, networking, database design and systems analysis, ensuring you graduate with the skills to progress into a broad range of IT careers. Suited to graduates of other disciplines who wish to add computing to their portfolio

Course Description
Data Analytics course emphasizes the concepts, techniques, development, and application of business intelligence systems through industry-relevant software tools
The course has been developed and is run with SAS; designed specifically to equip students with the skills and abilities to address the skills shortage
On successful completion of the course, students will have developed analytic and technical knowledge and enhanced their professional skills within a Business Intelligence context

MS in Intelligent Systems and Robotics
Computational Intelligence (CI) encompasses the techniques and methods used to tackle problems that traditional approaches to computing struggle to solve
The four areas of fuzzy logic, neural networks, CI optimization, and knowledge-based systems encompass much of what is considered to be computational (or artificial) intelligence
There are opportunities to apply what students learn in areas such as robot control and games development, depending on their interests
The duration of course for January intake is 18 months and for September intake its 12 months with a one-year optional placement
